The title came from a line in ‘Self Reliance’ by Henry David Thoreau, which seemed quite fitting for me!

This original painting was pure self expression. I love blue and this was great fun to make, be completely spontaneous, adding drips, removing paint to create little windows into previous layers, scratching and drawing with oil pastel.
