Visually exciting and mysterious my aim was to create a multi layered piece showing history and patinas, like an old piece of furniture. Do you remember the old school desks with layers of childish graffiti, names carved into the wood and drawings all over it? I sure do! It started with a red/orange base layer which I painted over and scratched through to reveal the underlayers.
